  IPV6 causes slow internet access

Bug description:
  starting with kernel 2.6.28-4 ipv6 is built in and cannot be disabled
  . this causes very sloow internet access for people who have routers
  or isp's that are non compliant . Prior to 2.6.28-4 ipv6 was loaded as
  a module and could be disabled by setting " alias net-pf-10 ipv6 off "
  in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases  and also adding blacklist ipv6 to
  /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist . please provide a method of disabling IPV6
  for those who need it .
