Matthias's question is more about "how can we make sure that the new
version of ppc64-diag is good?", rather than the response in comment #5.

This information is required as a part of the Ubuntu Stable Release
update process to ensure that we don't introduce any regressions with
updated software versions.  For more details please see
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates and add the appropriate
information, Test Case and Regression Potential, to the bug description.
