You tried to install grub to /dev/dm0, which is an LVM logical volume.
You must install it to a hard drive instead ( /dev/sda ).

Bug description:
  Just trying to install Ubuntu and at the very end of the process I got
  this error message saying GRUB cannot be installed to the hard drive.
