I'm also experiencing this when I tried to install Kubuntu 18.04. I have
not tried other distros. Any solutions?

Bug description:
  While clean installing Ubuntu 18.04 LTS from USB, it prompted me with
  error "Grub installation failed" message saying "The 'Grub-efi-
  amd64-signed' package failed to install into /target/. Without the
  GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot.
