python3-defaults is a source package name, that builds binaries python3,
python3-venv, python3-minimal, python3-examples, python3-dev, etc. Those
are the packages you can install with apt.

** Changed in: python3-defaults (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  Unable to locate package python3-defaults

Status in python3-defaults package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Installed 18.04.1 Server AMD
Trying to get pip3 and venv to work but I get the following:

  sudo apt install python3-defaults
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree
  Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package python3-defaults

  same thing for python3-pip3, python3-venv

  have done apt update already.

sources.list has the following (untouched after installation of OS)
  deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic main
  deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security main
  deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates main

I can't find this package anywhere. What do I add to sources.list to
  fix this?

Thanks for any help and apologies if the solution is obvious.
