Public bug reported:

I used Ubuntu 14.04 for several years. Then upgraded to 17. I upgraded
to 18 and now I have problems with 17 starting every time I reboot. how
can I kill 17 without losing my information? 17 also never connected to
wi-fi but 18 and 14 had no problems. I don't know if this is a bug or
not so just to let you know what I've seen.
