Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted
the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios
mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition
to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use
entire disk" guided install option.

  Ubuntu Installer Crashes every time on Grub Insall Screen

Bug description:
  Hi,

  I had previously installed Ubuntu 16.0 LTS on my system along with
  Windows 10. Now I wanted to upgrade to ubuntu 18.0 LTS which I tried
  to install via USB. Now while Installing I selected the 2nd option
  called "Delete Ubuntu 16 & reinstall" which supposedly should delete
  the older version & install the newer version of Ubuntu, i.e. Ubuntu
  18.0 LTS.

  Now I get stuck on the "Grub Install" phase & the installer crashes. I
  tried this multiple times & get the same error.

  Also please note that on removing the USB & rebooting the system, I am
  stuck on the "grub rescue" screen. I also get this error which states
  that the "i386-pc/boot/grub/normal.mod not found" And after going
  through a couple of solutions, I had tried running the commands but
  still no success.

  Please help me out as I am badly stuck in this grub rescue screen &
  not able to install the OS (nor am I boot into Windows 10).
