  Calling g_output_stream_vprintf alwasy results in the following
  critical message:

  "(gnome-control-center:8860): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **:
  g_output_stream_vprintf: assertion 'cancellable == NULL ||
  G_IS_CANCELLABLE (stream)' failed"
