  GRUB was not installed and Ubuntu installation failed

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I tried to install Ubuntu 18.04 using USB ISO installer, and GRUB
  fails to install, hence, Ubuntu cannot be installed. The first run
  after installation opens screen with "minimal BASH-like line editing
  is supported [...]". I am trying to install Ubuntu on a Samsung
  notebook (Expert model), with Windows 10.
