Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted
the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios
mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition
to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use
entire disk" guided install option.

  grub installation failes

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I already had Windows 8 and BOSS Linux on my machine. But there wont
  be any option to choose the OS during boot. Windows 8 will be
  automatically booted. After creating Ubuntu flashdrive I chose the
  "Try without installing" option and formatted the BOSS partition using
  the included Gparted tool. Now when I try to install Ubuntu on the
  newly formatted partition this error occurs and I couldn't boot into
  any OS. I don't want to format my Windows partition
