It is not enough to just disable the PPA, you need to use the tool 'ppa-
purge' from the package ppa-purge to also downgrade the versions of the
package provided by the PPA to the official versions of the Ubuntu
package. This PPA is certainly causing the failure to calculate the
upgrade although there may be others.
