  debian-installer Errno 6 removing previous storage devices

Status in debian-installer package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server install; encountered error at step 'removing previous storage devices' - it claimed unable to find sda4.
  Looking further I found that there was an extended partition on sda4 (mbr); was able to resolve by just writing a new gpt table with fdisk.
