Public bug reported:

On cosmic amd64 or i386, as seen in autopkgtest environments, executing
`python3 -c "import parted"` as a non-privileged user causes printing
out the following two errors to stderr:

/sys/firmware/dmi/tables/smbios_entry_point: Permission denied
/dev/mem: Permission denied

I have not yet checked if this actually causes any real side-effects,
but it does cause some autopkgtest failures due to ADT considering
stderr output an error.

** Affects: pyparted (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Medium
         Status: New
