[Bug 1778110] [NEW] GRUB installation failed on SSD

Public bug reported:

I was installing Ubuntu using a DVD, and I had to install it on one of
the disks. I chose EXT4 allocated almost 239 GB because otherwise it
gave other errors. Anyway I got the installation working but about 5
minutes later it spat out that the GRUB installer hasn't been installed.
Please do help, this is the only system I have in the house and I need
this ASAP!
