Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted
the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios
mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition
to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use
entire disk" guided install option.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  Failed install 18.04 64bit form usb made bootable by 18.04 32bit

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Under installation I got a message saying that the system could not
  boot because grub-installer failed. I have a 32bit 18.04 version, but
  want a 64bit version installed aside the first one. I made the usb pen
  bootable in the 32bit system. It booted ok, and I chose to install
  aside with the 32bit system. I also slided the two partitions, to make
  the one smaller and hopefully get the bigger size for the 64bit
  system.
