Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted
the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios
mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition
to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use
entire disk" guided install option.

alongside install 18.04 lts windows 10 uefi
i did disable beforehand secure boot and fastboot
booted into win32imager.exe created usb disk containing the ubuntu 18.04 lts
booting into that usb went ok
started installation and selected 250 gb of the 500 gb samsung ssd
set the other half to fat32 and set to "do not use"
selected /dev/sda1 (1st partition of the ssd) as bootdevice
select same for install /
install ran and crashed on approx 75% with remark it crashed and could not write the boot grub
