Go 1.8 has been unsupported since the release of Go 1.10 a month or so
ago and should be removed from bionic before release.

Both of those packages use "golang-any (>= 2:1.8~2~) |
golang-1.8-go"-type constructions and so will be unaffected by the
removal.
