[Bug 1768651] [NEW] remove plymouth entirely from ubuntu and kubuntu because causes issues

Due to unexpected bugs like this:

I think all graphical "enhancements" should be disabled by default. No
fancy graphics or anything, and remove quiet and splash from grub's
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT= as well.
