Most likely someday someone will run into this same issue I had, so just
turn it off in the bios that 2.2tb infinity mode.

Title:
UEFI issue, installer thinks board is uefi, but it is not

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
This msi board has a bios that the installer thinks is a uefi bios,
but it is not a uefi bios, so the installer tries to install uefi and
it can not so the install fails. There is no option to select any
other install, like a non uefi grub legacy install.

In the past, I posted to linux forums and finally found something
about turning off 2.2tb infinity drive setting in the bios.
