am new to Linux and got no clue what's going on.  at least, when
installing OSX, it fucking works!  even Windows manages to install
itself, and that's saying something. definitely Linux still not making
the OS easy enough for the noobs. how many years has it been now? right.

Bug description:
  Don't know if this bug is related to ubiquity, but the ubuntu 11.10
  installer failed installing GRUB to any of the available hdd's on the
  computer, then the installer suddenly crashed. I have seen ubiquity
  crash at other occasions as well, so may not be related.
