There are several reports about Ryzen chips having similar issues, most
likely AMD will fix those corner cases in firmware updates.

Bug description:
  On Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, AMD Ryzen 7 1700, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
  with driver 384.111 running

  watch nvidia-smi

  crashes after 4 days nonstop operation with message "stack smashed"

  This does NOT happen on Intel Xeon E5-2660v4, GTX 1080 Ti with Ubuntu
  17.04, Nvidia driver 384.111.
