@paelzer - from my experience with gpsd that looks pretty good regarding
the file rules etc - hopefully someone else who is more intimately
familiar with AppArmor can comment on the list of capabilities.

Title:
  apparmor profile for gpsd

Status in gpsd package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Given that users sometimes interlock it with the more exposed chrony
we should provide an apparmor profile.

I set up GPSD on a gps usb device and in addition used code review to identify expected paths.
I came up with a suggested profile that I'd want to add early in 19.04, but I want to make it available here early to get a security ack on it.
