  terminal update unable to complete

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Was trying to update software using sudo apt-get update and it failed
  to complete.  Tried to update using software updater and it could not
  complete either informing me to sudo apt install -f neither were able
  to resolve the situation. Also informed to disconnect third part
  repositories.  Did so but still the issue remained.  Now writing this
  bug report.
