I'm surprised Lenovo would make that kind of mistake... Maybe triple
check that it's in UEFI-only mode, and CSM/Legacy stuff is all disabled.
If one of those are untrue then it may well hide BGRT by design.

Bug description:
  On a fairly new Lenovo laptop (T580) I tested, it doesn't have BGRT
  defined. So it's empty above the spinner.

  I also tried Windows to see how it handles when BGRT is missing, it
  shows a Windows logo for this case.
