Title:
ubuntu installer crashes saying grub failed or something

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have an old BIOS and decided to install Ubuntu to give life to it
again. The specs are pretty decent with 2GB of RAM and a i3 processor.

When trying to install ubuntu, which was 18.04.02 LTS from a live USB
made using Rufus on my laptop, till the partitioning of disks and time
zone selection is okay. But while entering the password, it says there
is a error, either because of dust in the CD or heating too much. I
did a full format, re-downloaded the ISO and tried again. Same. And
  one last time. Same.

Please help me out! Would be much appreciated!!
