[Bug 1856430] [NEW] Gparted and dangling symlinks

I'm working on Ubuntu 18.04.03, x86_64, fully patched. Running the
symlinks utility on the image shows an excessive number of dangling
symlinks:

$ sudo symlinks -r /usr | grep dangling
