We should probably think about how better to allow entry of ip
addresses. This isn't a but per se -- but it's certainly confusing.

Static IP address entry is confusing

Ubuntu Server 18.04.1 LTS
There appears to be a validation bug when entering a static IP address
during the installation of Ubuntu Server. This bug presents itself
when there is no DHCP server present on the network.
See the attached screenshot. The mentioned IP address is contained in
the subnet, although the validation error appears. None of the
combinations I tried seemed to function, so this might be a regression
error.
Please conduct some test scenarios to this section of the installer.
These errors prevent the installation to continue.
