[Bug 1810635] [NEW] cannot install bootloader on lubuntu 16.04.

Public bug reported:

During install from 16.04 iso disc the install stops and says that
bootloader cannot find sda. The computer had previously run ok on 17.10
as only os after successful iso install. The computer and iso's are 32
bit.
