Here's a screenshot of the 18.04.2 minimum disk size.
** Summary changed:
- minimum disk space recommendation is too small
+ minimum root partition size recommendation is too small
** Description changed:
- I tested installing Eoan with an iso dated 20190606 and setup the
- minimum recommended partition size (5.6 GB I believe). After the
- installation completed and I rebooted I was immediately presented with a
- dialog indicating there was a lack of free space. There was only 74M of
- free space and it seems likely that updates of debs and snaps will fail,
- let alone trying to install anything extra.
+ I tested installing Eoan with an iso dated 20190606 and in the advanced
+ partitioning setup the minimum recommended partition root size (5.6 GB I
+ believe). After the installation completed and I rebooted I was
+ immediately presented with a dialog indicating there was a lack of free
+ space. There was only 74M of free space and it seems likely that updates
+ of debs and snaps will fail, let alone trying to install anything extra.
+
+ N.B. this is different than the minimum disk size which is actually 8.6
+ GB for 18.04.2.
