Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
AMD64 is your architecture, and applies to both AMD x86_64 and Intel
x86_64 processors, it's called AMD64 because AMD was first with 64-bit
x86, including by both microsoft & intel.
Your problem is that grub failed to install; grub being the GNU
bootloader used by Ubuntu (and many other systems). Why it failed to
install I can't help with sorry, but I've had your issue personally
because of security settings in bios/uefi but this may not be your
issue.
