I'm not seeing anything about nvidia drivers in the logs which apport
provided. Could you go through the process of having the drivers removed
and then add the files '/var/log/apt/term.log' and
'/var/log/apt/history.log'? Thanks again.

  The update-manager removes my nvidia drivers whenever it does an update.  I have to manually reinstall the nvidia drivers every time I do a software update!
