Public bug reported:

The addition of -fcf-protection by default on amd64/i386/x32 on eoan
causes a bunch of gcc-test-suite failures - these can be fixed by simply
overriding the build options for these tests to specify -fcf-
protection=none.

** Affects: gcc-9 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
