[Bug 1834321] [NEW] package python3 3.5.1-3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 127 ... I downloaded the python 3.7 source code and compiled & installed it. I did this with serveral libraries which belong to ffmpeg & gstreamer. My system crached for two totally. I am not sure about the first one resion but for second time, I was going to uninstall python 3.5 (system default python3) because I had already compiled and installed python 3.7. The ubuntu package manager uninstalled a huge chunk of other packages like Qt5 package & etc. After uinstalling packages my system went to unstable graphical situation. I think something went wrong with the main graphical libraries and maybe graphical drivers. After a system restart I had system boot problem and only I could access command line. My network-manager service also stoped and I couldn't access internet so reinstall or fixing packages were not possible for me. I had to reinstall whole the system.

Public bug reported:
I downloaded the python 3.7 source code and compiled & installed it. I
did this with several libraries which belong to ffmpeg & gstreamer. My
system crashed for two totally. I am not sure about the first one reason
but for second time, I was going to uninstall python 3.5 (system default
python3) because I had already compiled and installed python 3.7. The
Ubuntu package manager uninstalled a huge chunk of other packages like
Qt5 package & etc. After uninstalling packages my system went to
unstable graphical situation. I think something went wrong with the main
graphical libraries and maybe graphical drivers. After a system restart
I had system boot problem and only I could access command line. My
network-manager service also stopped and I couldn't access internet so
reinstall or fixing packages were not possible for me. I had to
reinstall whole the system.
