Ok, reassigning this to grub2 since it's now confirmed that this is what
you're using.
I see that there was an upgrade of the grub2 package in your latest
post, so it's possible that the previous version of grub was buggy and
this works now only because the new version was pulled in. So not
immediately closing this bug as it might warrant further investigation.

Hi guys
On the Boot splash screen, Grub does not show the 5.0 kernel installed.
The same has been installed and appears in the terminal by sudo update grub and synaptcis, see attachment.
