Public bug reported:

Hi,

when booting kernel, it fails on message: "Loading initial ramdisk
..." and nothing happens.

I'm using LVM and disk is encrpyted by LUKS.

Everything works 1 month before. Today I had to reboot PC and all my
kernels has the same problem. Recovery mode does not work.

Kernel 4.18.0 from Ubuntu 18.10 sometimes works and sometimes not (the
same message: Loading initial ramdisk...).

I was looking for solution and adding "dis_ucode_ldr" parameter before
booting helps. Now I can boot all my kernels.

So I think - it is problem with microcode.
