Works with 'ping'?   Sorry I think of ICMP echo-requests when I see 'ping' and don't see how it relates to a `do-release-upgrade` (ubuntu-release-upgrader).  You should possibly clarify what you mean by 'works with ping'.  Thanks for helping to make Ubuntu better.
