[Bug 1847679] [NEW] Xorg crash during upgrade to 19.10

Public bug reported:

This is probably the wrong package to report this against, but I just
wanted to collect all the logs. Please reassign as appropriate.

Today I initiated an upgrade from 19.04 to 19.10 using `update-manager
-cd`. The upgrade started fine, but about halfway through installing
packages, Xorg crashed and took me back to the terminal. Eventually, X
restarted and I was shown an error message that the system was in an
unrecoverable state (I don't recall the exact wordring, I had never seen
such a message before), with a button to exit. From the console, I
could see that dpkg was actually still running, waiting for user input
regarding a conffile change. I killed the process, then manually ran
`dpkg --configure --pending` and everything seemed to finish fine.

I have no idea if there is any post-upgrade clean-up that needs to be
done on my system at this point.

Please let me know if there are any additional logs I can try to dig up
or other debugging information.
