Sorry, that was my fault. I added the dyndbg= parameter to our MAAS
cmdlines to try and get some more debug info for bug 1849682.
Unfortunately, the way this ended up getting quoted screwed up the
parsing in grub.cfg. I've removed it now.

Bug description:
  The deployment works fine about 2 days 20 hours ago, however it's now
  failing with "failed to install grub" on all of the 2 ThunderX nodes
  we have here, and it's failing with X/B/D/E:
