Starting in eoan, you can

apt list ?automatic
apt list ?garbage
apt list ?obsolete

See apt-patterns(7) for the patterns supported. More patterns coming in
next release, some patterns might have bugs.

** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
feature request: list certain subsets of installed packages

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Currently 'apt list' can list
  --installed
  --manual-installed
  --upgradeable
packages, but it would be nice, if it could list
  --auto-installed
  --auto-removable
  --local
These can be listed by grepping the output of 'apt list --installed' but having direct options would be more user friendly and can you trust the output format to retain anyway?
