Public bug reported:
Trying to install the Xubuntu 20200408 amd64 ISO from USB, Try (safe
graphics mode) on Lenovo E495 (AMD Ryzen 7 mobile CPU) - not sure if the
CPU might have something to do with this but probably not.
Nothing obvious in the logs I've checked.
Currently the system has been sitting idle for almost 2 hours with the
ubiquity GUI showing "Saving installed packages...".
The root file-system directory structure hasn't been created:
root at xubuntu:~# mount | grep rootfs
/dev/mapper/ELLOE00-rootfs on /tmp/tmp.woX6753mbL type ext4 (rw,relatime)
root at xubuntu:~# find /tmp/tmp.woX6753mbL/
/tmp/tmp.woX6753mbL/
