Public bug reported:
A long-standing goal for ease of maintenance has been to merge the Core
and Classic u-boot scripts for the Raspberry Pi. Various steps have been
made towards this but in Core 20 this should finally be achieved. A test
package exists in the following PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~waveform/+archive/ubuntu/flash-kernel/+packages
Built from the core-20-boot branch of:
https://code.launchpad.net/~waveform/ubuntu/+source/flash-kernel/+git
/flash-kernel/+ref/core-20-boot
In effect this changes nothing for Classic (it adds a conditional
section specific to Core in the boot script). However, it would be
useful to have this in focal to ensure that Classic and Core are both
using the same script.
The script has been tested on Classic and Core, and boots successfully.
** Affects: flash-kernel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
