Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug is reported against grub-installer. Grub-
installer doesnt' have anything to do with sound.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems
describes how to report audio bugs.
Therefore I am closing this bug as invalid.
Ubuntu 20.04 is released next week. http://releases.ubuntu.com/
It is more efficient to report bugs against new version of Ubuntu.
You can submit new bug report preferably using 20.04 Focal Fossa
via ubuntu-bug -s audio
** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)

I am using Ubuntu 19.10 with 5.1 surround speakers.
I tried to configure 5.1 surround, but it still doesn't work.
I also installed Pulse audio.

I tried the test below and instead of center speaker, right speaker
plays two times and the subwoofer do not work at all.
Please let me know what other details you need.
