Thank you for your bug report. What icon theme do you use? gparted
depends on libgtk-3-0 which depends on adwaita-icon-theme and gparted
doesn't have missing icons on default Ubuntu without gnome-icon-theme
installed, it sounds like rather a bug in the theme you are
using/configured?

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Gparted installs without gnome-icon-theme package but should be
  installed with it. Otherwise GParted's panel will look with absent
  icons. Please, see the attachment. Installing gnome-icon-theme solves
  the issue.
