It works fine on final build of Ubuntu Desktop 20.04LTS. Is it still an
issue for you?

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Boot up the image
2. Wait until you open the installer
3. Press Alt+Super+S to start the screen-reader
Expected behavior:
The screen reader should start talking.
Current behavior:
Nothing happens.
