Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa (5.01-3.1ubuntu1 as well as 5.01-3.1ubuntu3)
memtest86+ runs for a few seconds (2-20secs), then hangs
same effect on two different Xeon Systems and an old Intel Core2.
Installed binary package memtest86+ from Debian Stable (memtest86+_5.01-3.1_amd64.deb) in the Ubuntu installation, that version runs fine on all three systems.
This is very surprising, as I can see no source code changes between
these systems.
** Affects: memtest86+ (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
