Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

I suspect your failure may have been caused caused by bad ISO download,
corrupted install media (ie. bad write to your install media).

You filed the bug report against Ubuntu (not ubiquity) so details that
would have confirmed my hypothesis aren't available.

After downloading your ISO, I encourage you to verify it's flaweless
(https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-how-to-verify-ubuntu#0)
and before install, verify the write to media was perfect
(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck)  where
CD refers to your install media, be it CD, DVD, HDD, SSD, thumb-drive
etc).  In my experience the second issue (write to install media) is the
most troublesome.

  onced it did go beyonhd but  listeedx the proposed partitrion asx 12w0
  gig -- when I really have 320 ancd when i SELECTG34DX 320  it crashed

  I have been try dore 2 daqys to install ubuntu -- from DVD from USB
  and chave tried alxso with xubuntu I needx 32 bit

   driving me crazy -- computer is Dell Latitude D830

  the image I downloaded is ubuntu-18.04-x86.iso
