Title:
  after update laptop was unable to boot due to some secure boot problem

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  It was so annoying. Computer wanted to install some updates, I agreed,
  computer wanted restart I again agreed. After reboot computer was not
  able to boot. I spend almost two hours fix the computer and be able
  return to work. Following instruction on this post fix the problem

  Update was triggered by automatically opened window which ask for
  admin privileges. Not by sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
