Title:
Ubuntu 11.04 Installer Crashed while checking for packages to remove

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

The "Thank you" screen was shown on the installation window as well as about 80% complete with the message indicating "Checking for packages to remove...". An "Installer Crashed" window opened up and suggested to write a bug report here and to include the /var/log/syslog as well as the /var/log/partman files.
I was careful when burning the installation DVD to clean the new blank disk and also verified the downloaded ISO had the correct check sum.
Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal is the version being installed on the ext4 file system (/boot, /, /home, swap partitions).
I was logged into the Internet using a secure wireless connection.
Have 3 disks sda sdb and sdc.
  Was installing using the following:
  sda6 /boot ext4
  sda7 swap
  sda8 / ext4
  sda9 /home ext4
I expected the install to finish rather than crashing.
