Title:
Ubiquity Installer crashed on clean ubuntu 10.10 install

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

Installing Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 (2010-2-13) to a clean Crucial 128 GB SSD on an Asus P6TWS mobo with Intel i7 950.
"Installer Crashed" dialog box appeared during initial install. Clicked the close button, it appears the installer then exited. But the desktop was left in an unusable state with no access to log files.
