Title:
unusual system-crash-notification has no explanatory
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I'm getting a system-crash-notification on start-up.
My problem is that it doesn't say what the problem is. Nor does it
tell me what info it wants to send or where it wants to send it.
The report looks different to any that has appeared before. It is
different in context and style. If you have any reason to be wary of
security vulnerabilities you would not allow permit this notifier to
report.
But it keeps reappearing every time I start-up, at the user login. It
appears at least once after login as well. I have two such dialogues
that have popped up at the moment.
Each says:
"
System Program Problem Detected
Do you want to report the problem now?
<Cancel> <Report Problem>
"
Clearly, I'm not going to allow such an unusual dialogue to 'report
problem' if it will not tell me what problem and to whom.
